Danny Fenton
Danny founded Zig Zag Productions in 1999, he has gone on to produce over 1000 hours of programming for broadcasters all over the world. Danny started his career at the BBC working in unscripted and sport before freelancing with a number of UK production companies. Danny is a regular speaker at major industry conferences, judges’ numerous industry awards and is a regular commentator in the international trade media. He is renowned in the international TV industry as a pioneer of audacious ideas and discoverer of new talent including magicians Dynamo and Troy and adventurer Richard Parks. Danny is an Executive Producer on all Zig Zag productions.
Danny has an encyclopaedic knowledge of his beloved Tottenham Hotspur and still plays a lot of football (sometimes walking) and cricket.
Matt Graff
Matt is Managing Director of Zig Zag and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business. Prior to working at Zig Zag, Matt was a co-founder of Virtual Reality prod-co VR City, and consulted with a host of International Broadcaster and Producers, helping to build their International production businesses. He spent 15 years at Viacom, where he was a Snr Director and oversaw the content output and Commissioning strategy for 18 channels. He cut his teeth in Music Television Production; producing and directing live studio performances, documentaries, formats and news features, as well as working on large scale International award shows. Alongside Danny, Matt is an Executive Producer on all Zig Zag productions.
Matt has a passion for food, padel and bicycles, never at the same time but in that order.
Daniel Bankover
Dan is a seasoned television HOP with a diverse career spanning various genres and formats. He began his career at Leopard Films, then moved to Endemol, contributing to productions like Big Brother. His subsequent roles included positions at the BBC and Two Four. At Shine, he spent several years focusing on food programming. Dan also held roles at Liberty Bell, Wall to Wall, Britespark, and Optomen. At ITN Productions, he worked on a range of programming, from Royal weddings to cruise ship documentaries. He served as Head of Production at Brown Bob before joining Zig Zag
Dan is an avid triathlete and cycling enthusiast, and he’s also a skilled padel player (so he tells us).
Geoffrey Okol
Geoffrey is Director of Development at ZigZag. A National Film and Television School-trained producer, he began his career running a successful advertising agency before moving into TV development, combining strategic insight with storytelling expertise.
He has worked on development teams at BBC Entertainment, ITN Productions, and Argonon Group, with multiple formats optioned internationally. Geoffrey was the top prize winner at FORMAGINATION 2023, and his award-winning concept is currently in development with ITV Studios.
Geoffrey is training for a Triathlon... well, he's not, but thinks if we write it here, it might motivate him to do so!
Sally Powdrell
Sally spent 3 years at a New Zealand based accountancy firm Nesbitt, Scott & Williams before moving to the UK where she spent 9 years at the BBC working in the Genre Commissioning accounts team.
After a brief stint in the Business Service Industry she returned to the TV industry when she joined Zig Zag in 2005.
Sally has become an integral part of the Zig Zag team taking on greater responsibilities, running the day to day management accounts and cash flow forecasts as well as overseeing all of Zig Zag's production accounts.
Sally is a proud Kiwi and often threatens to move home to New Zealand, we selfishly hope she doesn't!
Mia Freedman
Mia started her career in the travel industry before transitioning over to television. With over 25 years of experience in the TV industry, Mia brings a wealth of knowledge and organisational skills.
Mia has worked across the spectrum of Unscripted TV with career highlights including Laura Whitmore Investigates, The Football Academy, Secrets Of The Interrogation Room with Rob Rinder, and I Wanna Marry Harry to name a few. Mia oversees the distribution arm at Zig Zag and knows the back catalogue inside out.
Mia's loves travel, food and Padel, but her true love is her Cockapoo, Alfie!
